AZ teacher cert. and BJU

Your info is wrong.  BJU is not accepted for teacher cert. as a approved institution for teachers in AZ. I know, I've tried and I live there.  I had to teach at a charter school where it didn't make a difference.  I then finally got accepted to work on my grad. degree to get certified.  Now, I never tell anyone I graduated from BJU but just use my Masters degree school when asked.  Future students, don't go there.  My children all went to other schools because of BJU's lies and truth omissions about accrediation.

credits count for nothing

my credits from my B.A. earned after 4 years of hard work count for nothing. Even at a community college - NONE of them transfer over. in terms of additional schooling, it's like not having a degree at all. i would strongly urge people to re-consider going to bob jones univerisity - its money lost unless you plan to stay only within the private christian school circuit for the most part.

on to earn my second B.A. - thankfully this one will mean something.

bogus credits from BJU

Three cheers for you for sharing your sad story!  I had the same experience when I tried to transfer credits to Ohio State University after 4 lousy years at that school...Thank the Lord, I didn't get my degree there, but had my work done there shredded by OSU because of their no REAL accredidation reality!  I was told by OSU that because of the accredidation issue, they didn't have to give me ONE credit for all the courses I took there!  To me it is a scam on students shielded by their lie that they wouldn't seek other accredidation due to their Christian purity!  What a travesty!

Perhaps this has changed in the last couple of years, but when I was there, the nursing program neglected to tell the prospective students until they got there that the nursing program is not accredited by the CCNE or NLN, and not having that accreditation is getting to be a pretty big deal (see article: They also failed to mention until a few days into the school year that their graduates cannot practice nursing in the military.

To put it nicely, it would sure be helpful if BJU let prospective nursing students know this BEFORE they step foot on that campus.

I think it is ITT Tech

I think it is ITT Tech (nationally accredited) who include on their advertisements, "credits earned unlikely to transfer." I appreciate their full-disclosure, and I am extremely disappointed that BJU has not done something similar.
