Phelps: I Owe No Apology

In response to the official statement put out by Bob Jones University yesterday people have been calling Chuck Phelps directly to get his side of the story. When asked whether he owes Tina Anderson an apology here was his response:

Mr. Phelps adamantly maintained that he owned [sic, recte owed] Tina no apology whatsoever.

Yes right after Bob Jones University released a formal statement that included the words, "Did Dr. Phelps do everything perfectly? No..." Chuck Phelps maintains that he is the victim and owes absolutely no apology to Tina Anderson. My question to Chuck Phelps and Bob Jones University is what wrong did he do in your book? If no wrong was committed against Tina than what wrongs are you indicating in this statement?

It is sad when the "secular heathen world" seems to get this issue quicker than Bob Jones University. It is sad to compare the above statement, and statements made by Chuck Phelps earlier, to that of the former head coach at Penn State Joe Paterno.

Did Paterno do everything right? Absolutely not. Did he make mistakes? You bet you. And he is man enough to admit he made those mistakes. Chuck it is time to man up.
