Bob Jones University today released the Findings of the Committee that Reviewed BJU’s Sexual Abuse Policy and Its Application. From what I can tell this is a good step (even if small) in the right direction for Bob Jones University. They seem to have recognized that things weren't being handled in the proper way in the past and that there was some confusion at the school. And it looks like they may put some mechanisms into place to both deal with future events and reconcile past ones. 

Darrell over at Stuff Fundies Like posted an excellent post about Being Right. In recent weeks I've been coming to the same conclusion. In Fundamentalism, and especially at BJU, it seems that being right is more important than anything else. This was first seen with BJU's insistence on defending Chuck Phelps.

Tomorrow is the big day. To the students, faculty and alum who will be there tomorrow know that we who cannot make it stand behind you. Tomorrow is a big day, and a perfect opportunity to finally have a voice. Don't be intimidated let your voice be heard. For those who cannot make it I challenge you to change your Facebook profile pic to red in solidarity.

Accreditation does get a quick mention.

Do Right BJU was never about Chuck Phelps. While he was certainly the embodiment of the issues, it was about more than that. Do Right BJU was about accountability.

We the students of Bob Jones University ask only for transparency and accountability of the administration.

We want an open forum where concerns can be and will be fully addressed.

Bob Jones University will, quite literally, judge YOUR spirituality based on your hair, how you make your bed, your music choices, and a thousand other silly things. And yet you defenders tie yourselves in knots to say "don't judge" over an issue like child abuse. What a joke. Think about it

WMUR of New Hampshire, a station local to Trinity Baptist Church, aired a video covering the Chuck Phelps' resignation. In that video WMUR showed a couple of clips of Chris Corneau. I've followed up with her to get the full answers to the questions they asked. Please see the following from her.
