On June 11, 2011 the USDE met to report on the status of TRACS as an institution. Their report can be found here. Please feel free to read the entire document. There is a lot of interesting details that you can find there. There is one section I'm going to focus on because it pertains directly this website and highlights some very salient points that I've been making here for a long time. Point number 7 reads.

After reading the most recent timeline from the Collegian regarding regional accreditation, that got me thinking about other schools that have made similar announcements and where do they stand now?

The Collegian has published a story outlining the progress BJU has made on regional accreditation. 

“How long will the regional accreditation process take for BJU?”

This is a question many have had since it was announced last semester that the University would be applying for accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Stephen Jones recently did an interview with the Greenville Journal where he highlighted a few interesting details about accreditation and the direction the school is headed. I found two interesting quotes that I wanted to look at real quickly.
